Meet the Creators

Welcome to The Hometown Hiker!

This is my little independent corner of the internet, where I get to combine my love for the great outdoors with writing and digital illustration. Everything you see here is dreamed up, written, and illustrated by me—with some very enthusiastic (and highly demanding) assistance from my co-author, Susan (the dog). 

Susan she spends her time begging for treats, insisting on cuddles and reminding me that, yes, it is time to go on another walk. Her high energy keep us both outside and inspired by nature. 

Together, we are creating playfully illustrated books inspired by the hometown places we love most, blending a little Texas charm with a lot of mountain magic:
